Workshop 1: Team competencies, based upon the Five Dysfunctions of a Team model
Explore the typical dysfunctions of senior teams and identify how your team is doing in each functional area and where improvements can further enhance the team. Workshop 3: Communicating non-defensively and managing up through thoughtful communication Focus on communication skills during more confrontational or unpleasant communications to achieve more open and effective communication. Workshop 5: Personality styles - Myers Briggs Find a universal language for how each leader operates and gain a deeper understanding of each other’s personality styles and how best to work with, supervise and work for individuals in other styles. Workshop 7: Communication styles and style flex strategies Understand the different styles of communication and learn techniques on how best to identify, work with and lead people who have different styles. Workshop 9: The art of successful delegation Learn to identify delegation opportunities and the varying types and degrees of delegation to enhance development and create a more efficient work force. Workshop 11: Providing outstanding feedback Acquire new techniques on how to provide on-going feedback whether through counseling, performance evaluation or day-to-day, to ensure on-going employee development. |
Workshop 2: Strategic and practical goal setting for Teams
Identify and sharpen overarching team priorities and identify and work to overcome potential obstacles toward achieving overall team goals. Workshop 4: Conflict resolution Explore the concept and overall benefits of conflict as well as the several different methods to resolve conflict and when to best employ each method. Workshop 6: Transitioning from management to leadership Appreciate the difference between “hands-on” management of people and/or projects versus higher level more strategic leadership. Workshop 8: Leadership styles Recognize and understand the different styles of leadership; which style is your dominant style; how each style impacts the team and/or organization; and which circumstances call for which style. Workshop 10: Decision making Explore the different types of decision-making, identify your dominant decision-making methods and learn how and when to employ different types of decisions. Workshop 12: Mentoring Identify the various skills required for effective mentoring, including identifying the mentee's needs, strengths & weaknesses, matching the mentor with the mentee, and learning the varying methods of coaching, collaborating and consulting necessary to enhance the mentee's growth within the organization. |
