Sally Phillips is best known for her outstanding contributions to top-ranked companies both as an internal executive and as a consultant and coach, guiding leaders and transforming human resources into a strategic business partner. Sally works with both large and small clients in all facets of employment consultation, human resource strategies and leadership coaching.
Sally began her legal career as an employment lawyer with Paul, Hastings, but spent the majority of her professional life in the corporate world wearing numerous hats. Sally served as Assistant General Counsel and later as SVP of Human Resources for a company with over 135,000 employees. As Chief Administrative Officer of this $2.5 billion dollar service company, Sally led VPs of legal, human resource, marketing, procurement, real estate and risk. Sally played a vital leadership role reshaping the company as it grew with major acquisitions, a diversification of services, and the dramatic expansion of its customer base.
After a short stint with Wolfgang Puck running business affairs (not cooking), Sally chose to start her own consulting business where she works with clients, large and small, to help them achieve excellence with their people through better human resource practices, compliance and strategic partnering. Sally also coaches executives, rising managers and attorneys (and others) seeking to hone their business development skills.
Sally’s client list includes both large, public corporations, smaller privately held organizations and not-for profit entities. Sally’s speaking engagements have included the Learning Community, ASTD, YEO and Vistage, among others. Sally sits on the Board of the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu.
Sally received her B.S. from NYU and her J.D. Cum Laude, from Georgetown.
